One of my WordPress clients recently asked me for fully justified text on their website rather than to align left. Here’s an example of normally aligned website text. As you can see, the text is aligned to the left margin meaning that not all of the text will align to the right margin.

Those with a short history will tell you that justification itself is always  bad idea that leads to rivers.  However we lived with justified text with movable type for 500 years, and the word river was never applied to typography.   In that era, compositors setting type by hand could use use letter-spacing (tracking), change the line break positions, and split words (with hyphenation across two lines) to provide beautiful justification.
